Adeline Olmer is the owner of Adeline Olmer Design, which is an interior design company that focuses on home and entertaining, forecasting trends and designing products.

Adeline was born in France and moved to the United States with her family as a young girl. Her parents fell in love with the U.S. and chose to live in both countries for life. Today, Adeline continues to travel between her native France and her home in the U.S. She is an avid hostess who loves to entertain, bringing her French heritage to both her home and her parties.

Adeline’s blog was launched in early 2008. In it, she shares her unique understanding of French style, making it accessible to – and understood by – Americans. She recounts her memories of childhood and family, passing down traditions in the form of stories. As she is a mix of both French and American, she has a profound understanding of both cultures. With one foot planted firmly in each, she shares with her readers, her insights, her joy, her love of cooking and entertaining, expressing it all with ease.

Adeline was a founding partner of Old Friends, a trendsetting company that was instrumental in defining and creating tea as a gift business in the 1990s. She has been quoted and her work has been featured in such major publications as: Self Magazine, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Victoria, Mary Emmerling’s Country, Bridal Guide, The Daily News, The New York Observer and The Tobé Report.

For the last several years she has run Antan, an antiques store located in Riverside, Connecticut. Her parents founded the store over 25 years ago when their love of collecting antiques required more space and they choose to open a store. Since Adeline joined Antan, she has expanded the store to include gifts for the home, a mélange of vintage pieces and new items that are perfect for hostess gifts or simply additions to a personal collection. Buying for the store turned out to be the perfect job for her, and an opportunity she found literally impossible to resist. She had already learned to spot the perfect item for her clients, but as a buyer for Antan she had to get truly serious about shopping… and traveling!

Adeline lives in the Northern Westchester County, New York, a suburb of New York City, with her husband, her two children, her dog and her cat.
